Claudio S. Contreras, MD
Your vision is very important. Whether you are gazing at a beautiful sunset, watching your child sleep peacefully, or looking into the eyes of someone you love, it is hard to overstate the priceless gift of eyesight. Unfortunately, medical issues such as accidents or disease of the eye can cause lasting damage if left untreated. Conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and pterygium do not get better on their own. They only get worse. Finding a skilled, caring doctor you can trust is the first step in protecting your precious sight.
For over 20 years, Dr. Claudio S. Contreras has been caring for eye patients in the San Jose area. He has improved the vision of thousands of patients, helping people just like you with medical eye issues such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, pterygium, and more. Dr. Contreras often uses sophisticated, high definition cameras to capture images of the inside of your eye. Using your eye photos and models of the human eye, he will carefully explain whatever conditions that may be present, and go over a detailed plan of treatment to help protect your vision. Dr. Contreras performs cataract surgery to improve vision, laser treatments for glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy, along with many other treatment options.
Dr. Contreras believes deeply in treating all his patients with dignity and compassion by offering comprehensive, affordable one-on-one care for every patient he sees. Our staff is also fluent in both English and Spanish, to better serve our community.
